myStyle Dreamcatcher Jewellery kit
What’s not to love about dreamcathcers, hey? Well, I do anyway. I love everything boho and I can sit for hours making dream catchers. I think, most families and close friends got a dreamcatcher from me at some point.
This time though, we were asked to try the myStyle Dreamcatcher Jewellery kit from Interplay and I have never been so excited about dreamcatchers. The kit got everything in it to make up to 5 projects, all you need is a pair of scissors to cut the cords and threads and of course, your time for making it. Trust me, it’s never a wasted time.
Dreamcatcher web: Sometimes, when you look at a dreamcatcher, you’ll wonder how to make the web and it does looks difficult to make and sometimes, it puts you off trying to make one. But, the dreamcatchers you’ll be making in this kit are small and the easy to follow instructions provided does helps and once you got the hang of it, it is one of those therapeutic things to do.
This kit is suitable for 8 years old and over but, I did not mind it for Olivia even if she is only 5, she really is a very good helper. Her main role is the freedom to choose the colours and anything that goes on her jewellery.
In this kit, you can make necklaces, bracelets and earrings but, that doesn’t mean you to have to stick to it. Just like any crafts or projects, you can express your own choice of style as you can never really get wrong with these. Everything that came in the kit are all gorgeous to make a fashionable bohemian jewellery.
Olivia is not into earrings just yet and I don’t know if she will ever be any time soon. So, we made 5 necklaces and a bracelet.
If you notice the green necklace on the first left hand side, I didn’t use the silver thread to make a web. I used lace as a web instead then put a red bead in the middle.
I know, right? You can never have enough dreamcatchers. Perfect for the dreamers.
Remember, this could be a perfect present too. I think, teachers will love a dreamcatcher made by you. 🙂
We are definitely going to get another kit as some of these dreamcatchers we made will be jetting off to Thailand, Belgium, California and for lucky teachers.
