Lincoln Castle Falconry

Lincoln Castle Falconry

One of our best-loved event in Lincoln castle  during our visit was the falconry.  Watching the birds in flight is just awesome and taking photos of them easily which, I don’t think, I would be able to do in the wild is a plus. 😉

Gorgeous photos of the owl – the third one I think is my favourite. I love watching falconry too and it is great for being able to get wonderful shots of birds of prey.

Great shots. Owls are such magnificent photographic subjects, from the piercing gazes to the way they seem to be almost hovering in mid-air when in fact they’re swooping in at high speed.

These are some stunning shots. I love the one where the owl looks like it’s stepping on to the falconers hand.

We think of owls as just being wise but they are supreme birds of prey. It’s at events like these (including your photos!) that we can appreciate how majestic they are.

That is one really big owl. I love how you were able to capture how powerful and strong he is. Owls are so often portrayed as being cute and cuddly instead of the excellent hunters they are.

Wonderful creatures. We stopped and watched a barn owl hunting over a field recently, but I didn’t even try to get photos as I knew they wouldn’t capture the focus or elegance of it. These are fantastic pictures.

Amazing photos. I love the look of intensity in its eyes in the first one – although I’m not sure I’d want it concentrating on me 🙂 #MySundayPhoto

I love birds of prey and we are lucky enough to have loads near where we are in Normandy. Buzzards regularly swoop down in front of our car!

Lovely Photos. Find it sad though when you see them chained or caged when these beautiful birds should be flying around free! #animaltales
