Afternoon at Blackpool Sands

blackpool-sands-darthmouth

Recently, we have been exploring South Devon and this time being is our last stop for the day at Blackpool Sands in Dartmouth.  It’s a private owned beach and is just a stunning place with great facilities.  I can imagine it gets busy during the summer.  We were waiting for the sunset and Olivia had the joy of dancing under the sun to her heart’s content. Why not when the only people there was us and a few at the cafe.

The car park is a little bit pricey, but it’s all worth it.  It very clean- very well looked after.  Paw friends are not allowed at the beach either.  It is also a shingle beach, not sand but, I don’t have an issue with it. Still stunning.

We’ve visited Dartmouth previously but never this particular beach so we’ll definitely check it out next time we’re down that way. Your photos are beautiful.

Always such wonderful photos and what a gorgeous day. Olivia always looks so full of life and ready to explore everywhere you go. I’m sure I remember blackpool sands from when we lived in south Devon, though I’m not sure i ever went. I think the private nature and car parking probably put me off, looks like I should have gone after all.

Beautiful photos as always. It looks wonderful – N is really against shingle beaches, so I really need to convert him that they’re still fun #countrykids
